The “KunstBewusst” lectures

"KunstBewusst" is the title of a series of lectures jointly mounted by the Freunde des Wallraf-Richartz-Museums und des Museums Ludwig e.V. and the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung.

Good art poses questions. And fascinating answers to these are given every week in this lecture series. Regardless of whether in a talk on a current exhibition given by an expert on the Classics, a discussion with an artist, a talk on the umbrella theme "Museum and Collection", a radio play performance on the museum's roof terrace , or much, much more - time and again the series presents interesting and highly informative contributions to these and other topics and concerns.

Guests speakers to date have included Ivan Nagel, Tuula Arkio, Gottfried Böhm, Georg Stefan Troller, Friedrich Kittler, Willibald Sauerländer, Diedrich Diederichsen, Klaus Theweleit, Klaus Albrecht Schröder, Douglas Crimp, Thomas Meinecke, Katharina Sieverding, Neo Rauch, Richard Brettell, Walter Graskamp, Hans Belting, Wim Crouwel and Thomas Ruff.
