Portico
Already in 1969 a small area right next to the old Town Hall in front of the loggia was uncovered. Next to an imposing arcade (Portico) from the first century, pre-eminent remains of the Jewish Quarter have come to light. The hospital, for example, was a communal, charitable social institution for the ill, elders and for travellers. Also the remains of the domus Lyvermann are preserved.
Throughout the excavations, this small section was inaccessible. Only in 2007 the walled-up door connecting it to the Town Hall was opened and the space was temporarily redesigned. Today it can be accessed through the basement of the Town Hall.
